Idaho?

I'm not sure how much it is at D&B, we buy the crushed oyster shell from the Meridian Feed Mill since we are usually there buying feed, however I have since switched to Zamzow's feed, the ingredients look exactly the same however the fiber content is much higher in the Zamzow's feed and it is much cleaner also, which was my main reason for switching. Anyways we use a galvanized metal dish that hangs on the side of the wall for the oyster shell, anything should work really if they don't tip it over, that is my reason for having it attached to the wall.
that is a great idea I will look into doing that as soon as we are able to get some from the feed store. The feed and scratch I give them is Nutrena brand and so far I haven't had an issue... well until my one hen died but it wasn't from the food, I think she was sick when I got her. I love Zamzows but they can be spendy depending on what you get. My dad buys the feed and helps me with the chickens so D&B is what I am stuck with. The Meridian feed store is a bit messy or at least it was the last couple of times I was there, my dad actually used to work for them when I was small. Your galvanized metal dish does it look kind of like an oil pan? What kind of container do you recommend? They do tend to knock things over, especially their feeder and before I got a 3 gallon heated waterer they were always knocking over their mason jar waterer.

I am!! :D Looking for someone that could tell us where we could find Cochins and EE's (Easter Eggers) in the Boise, Idaho area. Can you help?

That egg looks like a double yolker, to me, have you cracked it yet??

I have EE chicks for sale in the Idaho Falls area if anyone is interested, PM me =)

They sure are cute little chickies!! I hatched some with chipmunk stripes and some that are all yellow, kind of interesting how they turned out!!

D&B is selling EE and Cochin banti's cause i beleave two of the banti babies i bought were cochin's cause i looked up what the babies look like.. and no i havent cracked the egg cause i actually really dont eat chickien eggs at all.. i basicly sell them and i just have the chickens as my pets lol

Dunlap Hatchery has EE In the large breeds and cochins in the Banties. I don't know why they don't have them in the large breed too. I got some of my EE's from them. they lay nice bluish eggs and are all colors themselves. I also got some of their Red and Black production chickens. They lay wonderful big brown eggs. and are steady layers.

Sounds like a frustrating situation, with difficult neighbors. Hope you prevail! Please let us know what happens. This potentially affects us all. It could be us next!

Good Luck!
No word from the Sheriff or prosecutor yet... the whiners text me every other day about how horrible I am to make their life so miserable with all the noise... I'm just ignoring them at this point...

Anyone going to have some hatching eggs available in the next few weeks? Just got myself an incubator and anxious to try it out
I always have eggs!! pures I have Icelandics and Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas.. plus turkeys right now..
I should have peafowl eggs or better yet guinea eggs. People like that bring out my ornery side. I will donate them to you just for the sake of it.
I am so glad to have a whole neighborhood who loves to have the birds pass thru their yards occasionally.

I'd love some pea & guinea eggs!!

I also need an alternative to their current straw bedding(the dust it creates aggravates my allergies), only restrictions are cost and I am allergic to the sap and the oil in pine, I read that some people use river sand mixed with DE, and some just use straight river sand.
You could try the granular form of Sweet PDZ stall freshener. There is a thread on that at https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/707861/sweet-pdz.
I've read elsewhere of someone just putting a light sprinkling of the powder form on their floor & scraping up poops, and sprinkling more as needed. Kinda messy footing, though, that way, I'd expect...
