I have two that I know are roosters and they're both 3 months old and no crowing yet...

Okay so this is my 3 month old buff orpington and I'm not sure if it a hen or a rooster. Thoughts please because if it is a rooster I know someone who would love to take it home to his flock

I do not see pointy feathers near the tail. If none are there I am guessing hen.

K I was wondering, the feet don't seem any larger than the others either so I'm hoping it's a hen lol

They don't have the price on their website but how much is Meridian Feed Mills chicken feed, 50lb bag? I am looking just for the regular / general layers feed.

I know when I went and got my 2 bags of it a few months ago it was on sale for $13.75

I dont know up there but the mill here has the chicken starter feed for 16 dollars for 50 lb. If that gives an idea.

I found their chick start to be a lot of dust. Is the layer feed any better quality?

Thanks so much, must have missed that. Looks pretty right to me, for what I recently paid.

I bought 100lbs of Pullet Developer and we are down to the end and it was fine, it was a crumble and I was satisfied with it.

Good to know! once I switch off of chick feed I'll have to try their pullet feed. I got my second bag of chick feed from Zamzow's.
