I'm in trouble... Someone in one of my FB chicken groups just shared the CUTEST little serma roo... fits in the palm of her hand... I think I need one now. Him, but a female version. LOL
LOL don't touch'em then you have to have them.. They are super cute. So bravado looking.

Sad day....something..thinking the neighbors dog.. Killed 8 pullets and a little roo.

My heart goes out to you, it's never easy to see our kids moving on.

Last call for pullets! If anybody is looking for pullets, please PM me. I'll make you a good deal on what I have left from this year's hatches especially for those who have had terrible luck with predators lately. I also have some purebred cockerals available. Freezer camp day is fast approaching, though.

I already REALLY want him, even though I can't have him. I just love him though! I emailed you a link to the photo. LOL.

I need him, but in a her.
He is adorable. There is a breeder here that has some nice stock. He put on the Serama table top at the show so now you can go see them up close and personal :)

Can you tell me what kind of pullets you have left? I lost 3 welsummers, 4 barnevelders and several black copper marans.

Hi Michelle!!
Just had a call from Thermopolis, Wyoming for blue Orp pullets. I let him know I have only one blue left, and it's a buff/blue mix. He was wanting pures, plus at least a dozen, so I offered your name and phone number. He wasn't sure if he was willing to drive that far (yet was willing to drive to Duchesne, UT... go figure) He was debating whether to contact you now, or wait until spring and buy a couple dozen from me. I told him you were anxious to reduce your flock for the winter, so hoping he decides to give you a jingle!! Let me know if you hear from him.

Have a great day!!!!

Most of mine have, of course 6 of them still have a month before they start laying eggs (they are still babies), out of 20 hens I only get 5-9 eggs a day. On another note... can a Rooster live happily by himself? After I move up to Mountain Home I was thinking of separating Cornflake (my great nephews rooster) away from the hens to give them a break, the poor girls are missing feathers because of him. The hens will be moving into a much larger coop (it holds up to 40 chickens comfortably) and I have enough panels from my current setup to separate my little Bantam hen Bella and whatever other bantams I get (I am going to get her a couple friends her size) , and also make a "bachelor pad"
