Idaho?

I was also told Zamzows now gets their chicks from the New Mexico hatchery Pivett or whatever the name was. The man at zamzows claims that the rate of roosters at dunlap is alot, plus when I called yesterday they said they were taking orders for april 22nd.

I have yet to get a rooster chick in the pullets from Privett (Cal ranch)...so far so good with those.

My incubators are FULL........and I have all these extra turkey eggs.....so......I'm thinking I'm going to see if a muscovy duck hen will hatch out turkeys. Wouldn't that make a fun photo? I'll take them away from her after hatch, of course. Turkeys don't swim.

hot diggity! FINALLY our first eggs. A year of keeping chickens has finally paid off.
We started chicks in GA a year ago, grew a flock up to point of lay and had to sell before we moved. We never saw one egg from them. We started over in August with new chicks and I bought two pullets that were at point of lay who held out on me until today!

I'm a happy girl!

I put them next to our store bought eggs just to see...these girls are doing pretty well for their very first eggs.

Now I'm on the hunt to find some blue egg layers. I want to hatch eggs out for easter I think. We rehomed our butter roo we couldn't eat him, my heart wouldn't let me. He's happy with some ladies in Ammon. So I have a small flock of three I can add three more...

Does anyone have any older birds/culls/cockerels etc that they would like to see gone? I could come and get them. I had a guy contact me and he wants a bunch to free range on his place in UT.

hey hun pm me I have some older black sex links they are still laying but not daily and I want to replace them with some aracunas <sp> I also have an older white hen no idea type thinking white rock she lays on and off let me know I live in Nampa

Hiya everyone Just a thought I was wondering if anyone might have some NOT old hens but like older pullets of the Ameraucana or something similar I love the fluffy cheeks and the small combs, egg color don't matter to me just want med sized or med large eggs if possible. I am hoping that they would be willing to either find them a new home or sell at a fair price I only need 4 I am wanting to make my flock just those type of birds. I just love them and the way they look and their personality. Thanks
Sandy

Awesome Marcie, I am glad they finally started laying for you. My frizzle I got from Lisa last year finally started laying eggs, she gives me medium blue/green eggs, you should have heard her egg song/dance the first time she laid an egg, it was so cute.
