Idaho?

I love mine....hoping to get some more eggs in late January if he is able to pair up the leghorns with the same roo

I asked him a few months ago and he said to remind him, so he sounded like it would be ok.

On more question about the SBEL's.....are they auto sexing?

No they are not. I thought I could wing feather sex them due to the leghorn (fast feathering) and Ameraucana (slow feathering) but it did not work at all on these.

The feather sexing cross has to be slow feathering female under a fast feathering roo - if I was reading your post right it sounds like you are just reversed and that would be why it didn't work.

Nope just the Wheaten Amer Roo over a group of leghorn hens. At least last time I talked to him that was the deal :D They are great layers, I have ten FBCM girls and 6 SBELS. I get 5-6 SBEL eggs ev day and 2-3 FBCM. The only layers I get eggs from every single day right now. My olive eggers that I hatched from his SBEL girls and my FBCm roo are laying really good too!

BTW - sorry for crashing the Idaho thread (since you can see I'm in IN) - but I couldn't help myself as Idaho will forever be "home" to me. I was born and raised in Council and would move back in a heart beat given the opportunity. I saw the thread and had to read for a little taste of home.

Once an Idahoan always an Idahoan! I live in Northern UT (for 23 years) but still consider myself "from" ID!:love

I prefer not to give my exact location, but I visit Council every now and then. Good to see another member who knows of it!
