It's ok Becca! I got it moved today. I just got settled in to check email and post the updates for the day. Coop was over 200lbs and ended up taking 2 teenage boys and 2 large trucker men to move it into an open 5x8 trailer from Tates Rents. By the way, if you need to move something quick in an open trailer they have good prices. It was only $21 including tax for the 4 hours we had it and we didn't have to clean it or anything, they took care of that.

We did end up having to use a tow strap to get it out of the trailer by pulling it with my friend's Yukon. We only had the 2 teenage boys. I have to go back tomorrow to pick up the brooder pen because it just wouldn't fit in with everything else and we didn't have another rope.

Good morning from Boise...

I'm so happy to be here! I've now got 15 baby bantams

Sorry about the smilies, I got carried away!!!

Hi and welcome! It's so nice to have neighbors close by! I only have 8, was planning on getting 4 more from a local person but it didn't work out. Next year I'm getting my special order in early (first part f March) at Zamzow's unless people would be interested in going in on a special order from a breeder. The shipping costs are to expensive for me to justify...but if we could get multiple people splitting an order it wouldn't hurt so bad!

Challis...someday soon...Elko Nv For now..pretty much the same weather...we have property in Challis and have people staying there that have chickens also..BYC is the best..! I hope you keep this thread going!

I went to Zamzows to look and see what they had and their chicks did not seem well taken care of.

You can go pick up an order at Dunlap Hatchery in Caldwell and then you don't have to order so many. D and B gets their chicks from Dunlap and I have been very happy with them.

D and B only has regular DE, did not seem like they had food grade, so I would be afraid to try it with the chickens.

Is anyone in the Boise or Mountain Home area looking for a Barred Plymouth Rock rooster? I have a 4 week old chick that looks like he is going to be a rooster. He is my favorite, he is so sweet. I have three others to find homes for, but I really want this rooster to go to a good home.

iM NOT SURE OF ANYONE AROUND THE MAGIC VALLEY BUT I KNOW YOU CAN GET EGGS FROM DUNLAP IF THEY HAVE THEM AVAILABLE YOU MIGHT ASK D&B IF THEY CAN GET THEM IN I HAVE ORDERED HATCHING EGGS FROM THEM BEFORE

SORRY BOUT THE CAPS DIDN'T REALIZE IT WAS ON
