Idaho?

Well I used to raise BB Red Phoenix, Black Sumatra, Yokohama, Old English Game Bantams, Cochin Bantams, Mille Fleurs, I have a fancy for the fancy LOL But I have always been interested in Marans for egg layers. Also looking for Araucanas for egg laying.

For old english, I recommend attending the local Fairs this summer. There are always OE there so they are available for sure. One of our fellow Idaho poultry enthusiasts might be able to give you some contact names in order to get them sooner. :)

Boise Idaho,
Have 15 Ameracanas and 8 Cooper Marans. Three cows and three goats.
Trying to find a way to Paul Id to buy some chicks from Michelle. The birds look great on her website. Want to buy more Marans and some Olives.

HeadRhino65!!

As long as you are planning road trips... come on over to Idaho Falls on May 5th for the Rocky Mountain Chickenstock!!

Michelle does have fantastic Marans and I highly recommend you make the trip!!! I have some Blue Copper Marans that just hatched here in Emmett if your interested in adding some blue to the mix.

Talking to my wife about that right now. She said I have to spell Ameraucans right before she decides.

I got my Black Cooper Marans from a new breeder from Payette last year. He has a lot of adds on Craigslist. Very pleased with his birds.
Would like to get a nice rooster from Michelle. I appreciate the endorsement for her. She has been very responsive with her emails. I'm trying to convince my friend from Albian to go and visit her.

Anybody interested in Black Copper Marans cockerals, the best time to get them from me is in the Fall. Marans roosters are tricky in regards to proper coloring. You have to grow out a bunch of them and pick the ones that are breeder worthy. I should have plenty to choose from in the Fall and I'd be happy to help anybody pick the one that would best balance out a flock. It all depends on what you are working with, so bring photos of your hens if you have them.

For blues, Rick has the best blues around, so that's a good bet. I'm sure he'd help you pick out nice birds.
