IDEA!!!! Rotating Lazy Susan Nest Boxes!!!

LOL.... there is another option to a lazy suzan..... though I may just give it a try. But I have been considering Tunnel Nests or Community nests. The same width as regular two or three hole nest and a little bit deeper with one single opening in the front. Then a single lid that allows you access to the whole thing. What this does is give your hens the opportunity to lay eggs at the same time as well as the nest is darker and more inviting. The only problem I can see with a communal nest is if you have one go broody it would be difficult to move one to a a broody box.

That would be super cool! You should make a design and submit it for a patent!

At Lowes or Home Depot they have wood table bases that range from 1' to 3' in diameter. The large one would do a spectacular job. Place a set of ball bearing tracks between the 2 of the wood table bases and built 2 1 X 10 pine boards into a X and you have 4 nesting spaces that turn 360* now to get a hen to stay on it while you spin it is another story LOL.

I occasionally have things fall off the back side of the spinning corner cabinet. I would probably have a chicken get stuck in an awkward position, cant spin it because she is wedged and cant reach in because she is scared. lol
