Ordered nine chicks today! Well, tried to order but they said they were out of one or more of the breeds I wanted. So technically they call it a "request" not an order. They said they will be contacting me as soon as they have all the chicks I want. Does anyone know how long that will probably take? I'm really excited to get my chicks! And also with only ordering nine chicks and the weather being cold should I be expecting packing peanuts? Thanks!

when i ordered my 15 chicks 2 breeds were available easily because i was on the waitlist for them but the other breeds were low on what would be available and the lady i talk to said they were low or out of most of their chicks and i called on the 13th so you may need to wait a week or two for a another hatch to come up or it could be longer as when i tried ordering online the ship date was always in May no matter what i did..so i think besides my two waitlist breeds i barely got the other three and those three are decently popular breeds(buff orp, RIR, and delaware)


so give them a couple weeks and they'll most likely call you back or you could call them back

So ideal just contacted me today and it's gonna be May 14th before I get my poultry they're out of standard chicks currently. A lot longer than I hoped but they have excellent customer service

I had called several days ago to add some pullets to my order that ships in early March. I said I didn't really care which breed, but I was told that they're pretty much sold out of everything. She added more of something I already had that was sold out. Does anybody know how that works--they charge a week before they ship--so if they don't ship am I given a refund or credit or...?

I don't know the answer to your question but I was wondering how early you ordered to get yours shipped in March?

reading these recent posts makes it clear i barely got the chicks i ordered on the 13th...i know one breed she said they were super low one but could put 3 in my order...and i think that was my BO's

i wonder if their have lots of bad hatches right now and that why there so few chicks for people to buy? like i know i only got my speckled sussex and blue cochin cause i was on the waitlist for them.


hope Ideal gets batter hatches so everyone can get the chicks they want
