I have looked up some ideas on the web, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for using chicken feathers for crafts. I am planning on making masks and decorative globes and a wreath with them. I am also thinking about selling them for fly tying or fly tying myself. Any ideas? Thank you!

If I come up with anything I will post it, but I am wondering if everything in my house will end up with feathers on it....LOL!!! I am going to try the ball idea and see how that works... Thank you for posting!

Ball masques? Hair bands, barrettes, dream catchers, book markers.....I have LOTS of ideas but not a lick of time to do anything with them.

I saw a small lampshade that was covered with feathers. It was very pretty.

I will definately try that one! It sounds amazing. Thank you for your suggestion.

I saw paper mache' birds covered with real chicken feathers.... kinda' like the ones you get at craft stores. And butterflies. You can also bleach and dye them to get colors you want. Steven Tyler often wears feather hair ornaments. Fancy fans. I once saw a 1920's feathered purse.

I think you should try fly tying it is very fun and you can make a good profit if you sell your flies

I've used chicken feathers and hot glue to make Cat Toys on a string. Once my cats catch one, it doesn't last long and I have to make another one.
