Or, using an idea that bosque had, that he emailed me about. It was using a 4' length of 3" pvc pipe with a cap on the bottom-sealed. The cap on the top would be left unsealed-just placed on so you could fill it with water. The nipple would be installed on the bottom of the sealed cap-this would be installed vertically in the coop. Great for a corner-a definite space saver. I thought it was ingenious!
So, you see there's a lot of different things you can do with these nipples and a bunch of ways to make it work for your situation. What I love is they're sanitary and they do not leak! Very important if you're going to keep water in your coop. Shavings are very pricey to keep replacing.
