As far as I know they do not sell bottles as the nipples can be attached to the poly pipe that they sell...pretty expensive.
But for a couple of bucks you can go to Walmart or any grocery and buy some gallon bottles of water or juice, consume the juice and use the bottles for your project.

We have one of these. You will loose half the water when you turn it. We used it in the brooder and there was lots of spillage. We used 2L bottles. Stiffer smaller ones might be better.

Cool! They're wicked easy and once you see the nipple, you'll realize you can use them on a lot of different water bottles. You could even use a plastic honey bottle or anything that contained food at one point. Right now I'm using the milk jugs, but I'm thinking of switching to the pitchers from the dollar store.
Or, using an idea that bosque had, that he emailed me about. It was using a 4' length of 3" pvc pipe with a cap on the bottom-sealed. The cap on the top would be left unsealed-just placed on so you could fill it with water. The nipple would be installed on the bottom of the sealed cap-this would be installed vertically in the coop. Great for a corner-a definite space saver. I thought it was ingenious!
So, you see there's a lot of different things you can do with these nipples and a bunch of ways to make it work for your situation. What I love is they're sanitary and they do not leak! Very important if you're going to keep water in your coop. Shavings are very pricey to keep replacing.
Didn't I see a post somewhere that had a PCV pipe that looked like a J that was open at the bottom? The open end was up and he was able to fill the pipe at the top and it held water fine without the nipples? Nipple idea is nifty and probably cleaner.

They will go peck at it and see the water. There won't be any training. All my waters are nipples on 1/2" PVC with a pressure regulator. A friend of mine has a system where all his rain gutters on his barn take the water to 2, 500 gallon water tanks and it is a gravity system. He never has to water.
