What are the odds of getting a cockerel that looks exactly like his father? I currently have his 2 of his sons.
Is it common or rare to get carbon copy of the rooster?

My rooster looked like this at his son's age.
This is the other son..

At most I would have thought it wouldn't be that identical since those 2 sons came from the blue hen. I need opinion to this question, " would inbreeding create clones"?
I personally don't know.
He's been naughty, running after my chicks to try to mate with them.

Even if the hen is solid blue, she likely has the genes for the father’s coloration (blue/black/splash is very dominant and can cover a lot of different patterns). Most Swedish flowers are either black/blue/splash mille fleur or black/blue/splash mottled.
