If I Hatch Egg from This Hen, Bred by Delaware Rooster, then...

I think the looks of the pullet better than the cockerel, Tim, but if they all turn out white or whitish, probably will only set one of June's and maybe one of Charlotte's (blue Ameraucana) if I even have room in my bator after the shipped eggs arrive. I think I like the BR over Ameraucana a bit better as opposed to using Isaac, actually.

Yeah, I don't have great hopes for these birds as far as looks go, and I agree with you that the female is more attractive at this point. I was hoping to get another green egg layer out of the process (and was curious about the outcome).

I appreciate you posting those pictures! I think the reason I like the pullet better is that it's obvious she's a cross. And she would be called an EE. The cockerel could almost pass for a bad quality, though pure, Delaware. I like mixes where it's obvious that it is a crossbreed.

Interesting cross.

...and you'd know with as many thousands of members we have, someone else had already done it.

Only if she lays green eggs!

Well, actually, many EE's lay brown eggs. Just check with all the folks who bought theirs from hatcheries and I think you'll find that's true, to the dismay and disappointment of their owners.

Just what is an EE?

Better be careful or this thread could really take off...

Easter Egger is a mixed breed bird that the hatcheries pass off as Ameraucana and/or Araucana, but sometimes they spell it "AmerIcana", one clue that they don't have one (a clue or an Ameraucana). No, don't want to start that discussion here! It's been done ad nauseum in Breeds, LOL.
