I have to agree with the Red Sexlink. Mine are fantastic layers. My black sexlink isn't as good a layer as I would have hoped. However, if you are getting some just for eye candy, you can get great layers and beautiful to look at too. BTW, my red sexlinks pick at the others so you might want to try a RIR instead. Leghorns can be very touchy and get upset easily.

yes there are people around here that have Salmons---I got some eggs to hatch but mine are bantams---I would get two of the same breed though, I always get two of the same breed(or more) and they almost always hang out together even though my chickens are not separated
