Coronation Sussex for meat. Those things are HUGE, and beautiful and gentle. Copper Black Marans, for the beautiful eggs. And because I like to drive myself completely beserk trying to improve the breed.

I am still trying to decide! It seems like the most practical ones are the RIR and the Del. But I am not sure that practical is my end all priority. I love my sex link hens. They are good girls, especially the black ones with the silver lacing on their fac and chest. They are fun to feed worms to, and they make large dark speckled eggs almost every single day! I love seeing every one else's birds. So much variety!

My EE hens are pretty cute and have unique personallities even though my son says they are ugly, and my DH is less than impressed with strangely colored eggs!

Any way, interesting thread! Thanks for the posts! I am thinking about trying a couple of BO's since so many of you like them so well! Also totally enthralled with Silkies! Not sure how they would do with larger chickens, though.
