I have a unusual question about chickens and their fertility. When a rooster fertilizes the hens egg, does he have to do it everyday to fertilize the next egg laid? Or does more than one egg get fertilized? I read people having/selling fertile eggs, but how do you know unless its candled after incubating it a few days?

My Blue Wheaten Ameraucana only likes certain hens. He has his favorites and doesn't breed some of the hens.

Aww. He has his main sweethearts.

I didn't know that roosters are picky like that. I learn something new today.
