if you have genetic questions

Quote: Yep. This is why when I have genetic questions, I go to known experts
who have proven under intense scrutiny they know what they are saying.
Sonoran Silkies, Weislaw, nicalandia, Tad Adkerson, NYREDS, Walt Leonard,
Yellow House Farm, and others.
Best,

so laced birds have to have columbian
No. They have to have the columbian GENE. Not the same as the columbian variety

oops, I mis-read you to say they have to BE columbian; yes, they have to have the gene.

Poultry genetics isn't necessarily easy to pick up...takes awhile: been there, done that :)

I notified the administrator of some of the errors in the site. He was very accepting at first but once he found out I was working with a certain Marans breeder he told me to get lost and I did not know what I was talking about.

Tim
well, doesn't that make him "special." WE know how knowledgeable you are! <3

Okay so the laced birds have to have the Colombian genes but what about the Colombian do they have the same gene. And how do you make a laced bird from non laced birds, and also how do you make a spangled chicken is it mottled with added mahogany or what.
