if you have more than one rooster

All 5 of the roos on our property crow... sometimes it seems as through they're "talking" back and forth. Three are on one side of the house and the other two are several hundred feet away up at the barn. I love their routine... the roos at the barn crow, which makes the turkeys gobble, which leads to more crowing. Gotta love it!

I have 4 roos and a handful of cockerels... Make that a couple handfuls, the roosters all crow and they rub off on the cockerels, they start crowing anywhere from 1-2 months old. However when we only had a few roosters I did notice only one of them crowed continuously while the other did it only a few times a day.

I have a D'Uccle and an Old English Game Rooster, the first is named Charles and the OE is named The Nazi Chicken. You can guess who is dominant.

Charles never crows, the Nazi is the only one who crows. He even 'answers' roosters crowing from afar that we occasionally hear.

I have 3. A 5 month old SLW a 4 month old BB and 2 month old LB. My SLW is dominant, crows in the morning at 6am like clock work and then is mostly quite the rest of the day with only a crow here and there.

My BB will crow on and off, but never when he is near my SLW. My SLW likes to put a smack down on my BB when he starts to feel full of himself.

My LB has only tried to crow once that I know of, but he is young. I'm thinking it's going to depend on the Roo's attitude toword each other and how much the dominant one cares about the other males crowing. Not that I know a lot about Roos, just my thoughts.

Are you kidding me? First one roo crows, which sets off the turkeys and ducks and geese, then the next roo answers the challenge which sets off the turkeys, ducks and geese, and then the next roo simply has to have his say which sets off the turkeys, ducks and geese......see where I'm going with this????
Ah, we got nothin' but fun here.

Yep, all mine crow. The banty rooster has crowing matches with our BO roo. It is fun to listen to the chorus between them, our turkeys gobbling, ducks quacking and geese honking.

I agree and will say it depends on the individual roosters. If you only have two, an alpha and an omega and the alpha is very dominant and the omega very submissive, you might only have one crower. That was my experience. I think I heard my submissive roo crow maybe a total of three times until I re-homed the alpha.
