Smart! That’s pretty funny that I’m in Wisconsin! In the house I am staying in, we have neighbors who have chickens and a turkey (I think just one but I am not sure) and a dog. Do you have a dog?
What are the odds that you are my next door neighbor!

The dogs name is Otis. I think. He is like a hunting dog, loves kids, and he is brown with white spots.

@TheTexasChickenGirl So close! My neighbor's dog might be an Otis actually but he's more of a chubby lap dog, and no turkeys that I'm aware of? If you've got a 3 month old old english bulldog puppy with you though let me know and I'll need to investigate this turkey thing

I'm going to see if I can train these boys up to eat Japanese beetles...

Once one of my chickens tasted Japanese Beetles, she LOVED them. Then the others caught on. I went out every day to catch as many as I could for them. They also like the grubs that grow into JB.

I'm not very good at telling the genders of crested chooks like that, but I know that, judging by the comb, at least one is certainly a rooster.
