Illinois Egg License

I am way ahead of myself here.....chicks arrive in late April.
Will I need an Illinois egg license to sell eggs?

Call your extension office. To deliver eggs and sell it $15..to sell straight from farm you do not have to do anything. There are different rules for a commercial license (like selling at a farmers market)...and once you sell lots of eggs (I think its like 600+cases) then the rules change.

The license runs from June to June (to deliver farm fresh eggs directly to customer), you send it in May. Here's the link:
