Illinois...

A friend has a friendly rooster they have to get rid of (long story of course) . They are keeping it in the house. Looks like buff orp?
Any takers? I'll post elsewhere later

I can't take him, but how old is he?
Buff orpington roosters are the golden retrievers of chickens. My neighbor has two of them, the junior of the pair comes over and hold court with my hens
No idea. DW sisters friend. The rooster just walked up to their house one day. They asked around but nobody claimed him. They have a flock but already have a rooster. They've kept him in the house to separate the fellas.

That's exactly how my brother got his dog. She came to us one day while camping. We grabbed a leash/collar and walked her around to everyone. Other campers had been feeding her for several days, so when seeing us approach said, "I'm so glad you found your dog." We posted flyers at the lodge and at businesses in the nearby town. No one ever called so for the next 14 years, my brother's family had a great loyal dog.

Quail were due on Monday. Two hatched Monday and the 3rd today. I was quite surprised because I thought the 3rd egg wasn't going to hatch. (The other 15 eggs were clear.)

I added the chicken eggs last night but kept the quail egg in there - just in case.

The seramas are due tomorrow night - Friday Morning, and I already have 3 running around. Even 2 orp eggs have pipped.

@Molpet
One of the white poults was fluffed up, wing down, & circling the brown poult. It was also walking around the patio & strutting like that. Probably a male, right?

I went inside to grab camera but the display was done by the time I got back.

While outside I took some pics. Cookies babies (3 poults and an orp) are very funny. Every time I squat, they come running up to me for treats. It makes it very difficult to take pics of anything else ..... but turkeys.

Strutting means it's dominant, so about 60% chance it's a jake.
