Illinois...

My neighbor behind us he would rather here the chickens then the dogs around us at 5 in the morning, so I have him eggs LOL. How many do you have and what breeds I think I’m pushing the limit, according to our counselman who lives down the street they mirrored Naperville ordnance. I was kinda surprised “ Naperville “.
I have 10 acres so I have a bunch
about 50 chickens, BJG, BR,ISA , cinnamon queen , CX mix.. most are a cx meat bird mix from the other mentioned hens
and 9 turkeys

WOW they keep you busy , with my 4 I really keep the coop clean like every day but then again only 4 so not bad. Plus I’m retired.
I do deep litter, but it gets messy.. I am retired also

Do you get a fly problem in the summer?
The black faced hornets built a nest 15 ft above one of the coops and they took care of the flies last year.. before that I had a fly trap that worked well, but was gross
Do know of a place that will process birds around our area?
nope, I do them myself.. not usda approved, but I don't sell the meat.. just for me

There is a butcher in downtown Plainfield right on Lockport (the street) who processes wild game. If you kill them, they might be able to do the rest for you. Not sure what they would charge. Route 30 or route 59 to Lockport Street and your practically there - would likely be a short drive from anywhere in Joliet.
