I would try putting her in your garage for a spell. Its pretty dark in there. Let her have food and water as to not cause too much stress. If theres another hen who could use a makeover that gets along with her, she could go for companionship.

Hope your boys do well at the tournament. Say a few prayers for DD's friend. He went to the ER last night for a collarbone injury. (Hairline break & something had to be popped back into place.) He won't be wrestling this weekend.

Well, the oldest wasn't allowed to compete because the trainers and coaches did him wrong and get him cleared. His brother took his place on varsity, but lost his first match. He'll try again tomorrow, but if he loses, he's done. Little brother just isn't ready for varsity.

They spent the night, but I came home at 9:30 and did chores and cleaned the serama coop. Got to get up early to be back at the tournament.

I think my super sweet Jake is losing the alpha post. Thats him (on the left) on the outside while his son has the girls further in the woods. Although he does get first pick on the roost at night. It's almost like he doesn't care anymore. Just getting up there in age? He's only 3!

Our dear "Mr Dummy" was like that. He got the best roost & 1st pick of the food. He was certainly the alpha for the entire time he was here, but he allowed the other roos to mate. He only chased the cockerels off if they made a hen squawk. The other roos eventually took over most/all of the mating duties, but Dummy stood tall & was always guarding.

Hopefully Jake will stay in command. It's not bad to have a back up - as long as the back up is people friendly.

Nope. Close, but not quite right.

However, there was another 1980s movie that came out a few years later.....
