Illinois...

I bought a 3 month supply of feed and it is awesome. The feed is a more expensive (I'm difficult) but I still saved a lot of money because I don't have to walk into the chicken aisle every week! That was killing me. Now I walk into F&F almost every day (looking for ammo) and walk right out empty handed.
Its almost liberating!
I like being able to order and get what I need and not have to get there and find out they only have half of what I ordered.
I would think the soy free from Tamblyn would still be cheaper than ff

His soy free is a bit more expensive but not a whole lot. I think it was $24/bag, something like that. But I believe it's worth it because I can recognize the things I'm feeding them. And I have had fantastic laying results with this feed. Eggs are rich and shells are almost always perfect. My only problem with his feed is waiting for it lol. It's not something he grinds frequently. He did go through a lot of trouble to find this recipe and I am very grateful for that.
Since it uses pea as protein source it should be good for ducks too.
Switching from soy to pea made a tremendous improvement in smell in my CX.

Fermenting the feed made a big difference in the smell for me

I have to ferment for my CX because it's a fine grind and they sneeze a lot while eating. They sound funny sneezing though. Like a villager in minecraft if you're into that sort of thing lol
Our DS would know. Two years ago (in sky factory) he made his own chicken egg breeding facility. He literally had statistical genetic charts so he determine which chickens to breed. He also made his warehouses fully automatic. It was quite impressive for an 8 year old. .... Of course in real life he knows better than to squeeze chickens into little cages.

Last year he was into a coding kick. This year it’s AFK farming. He puts a lot of thought on how to set up multiple systems to gather imaginary resources in his game. In other words, he works hard to figure out how to get out of work.
