Illinois...

Thank you! I am planning on leaving part of the soffits open (with hardware cloth) for ventilation. Windows are ok to blow a breeze on the chickens, when opened in the summer, right? Because I have windows on the north and south walls and the areas on the top of the east and west walls that I was planning to always leave opened for adequate ventilation in year round.
I have an east facing window that I leave open all the time, no matter what the weather or temp. Of all places to roost, this is the favorite. I will qualify by saying it is under a large overhang, plus the shade covering over the run

Today's harvest. The large ones on left are from Wendy, my Welsummer. I must have overlooked 2nd egg from day before. Then 2 from my useful hens trying their best :old , and last is a fart egg:gig,,,, Yes, that is what they are called, for all the newcomers here. Wonder if it's Lonelys' try at egg production.:idunno.. And finally that quarter:hitno, none of my chickens lay coins:oops:

Forget a goose that lays golden eggs, I want an ostrich that lays bitcoin!

@BReeder!
What breed are you looking for? @chickendreams24 is in Janesville, WI. They breed meat rabbits. (New Zealand, I think) Of course they just had their 1st baby on Friday (cute little human girl), so their sense of time, days, nights, are all a blur.
I would settle for NZ but really want some Flemish Giants.
