Illinois...

Thanks for the replies! Sure wish Beecher or Manteno were still open. That would have been convenient.
I forget about this place in Crete

Apparently 3 tornados touched down in IL today, 2 of them in my neighboring towns of Naperville and Joliet. I how everybody on here is fine and that the winds didn't cause much damage. Shockingly no sirens went off here. All that happened here though was a windy day that blew the empty garbage can over.
The Joliet/Shorewood was in the Kendall county part of town. It spun up right there from what I can gather.
The 9 news, that normally stops at 10am kept the weather guy going covering the storm.

Last posts here were about tornados, wind and rain. Today was pleasantly the opposite. It was an incredibly nice day for this time of year. DD and I took a walk around the block with one of the dogs during my break today. I wish I was able to spend more time outside today. The weekend forecast doesn't look quite as nice unfortunately.

See if this feed store fits your wishes. Many here do purchase feed and other supplies from there. Also a member here does have ties to the owners.
If you are coming from the south, this is on your way before you reach Chicago.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome and Illinois thread:highfive:

That's my cousin! They are family owned since 1972. I grew up playing on that farm, learned to drive on it and a lot of other things. They'll have chicks next week too if anyone is looking.

I'm so grateful I finally got my coop MOSTLY water tight with all this rain but the wind has done a number on my tarp. I hate to waste time and effort fixing it now when it's coming off soon, but it makes so much noise out there flapping around that I may have to.
