Illinois...

Ooh, Bertha is gorgeous! Is she a silver laced orpington?
Yes. Thank you. Bertha was the grand champion pullet at our county fair. She is impressive because of her size - and more growing yet to come. She’s going to be a huge hen.

We have all sorts of weird bonding going on

Boo is a white orp who thinks she’s a turkey. She was raised by a bantam frizzle Cochin for 14 weeks with 7 poults. She’s still here and none of the hens dare bully her

My odd pullet trio = silver laced orp, Ameruacana (EE), and silkied serama. They go everywhere together. Hopefully someone will be open to buying all 3.

My serama just adopted 17 chicks. (3 serama and 14 quail) I’m hoping the quail sell quickly.

The bantam frizzle Cochin went broody again. This time she’s got silkie and Showgirl eggs. More uglies for her!

Gold Spangled Spitzhauben cockerel 4 months old available. From Greenfire Farms in Florida. These are very active, curious and entertaining birds. They will follow you wherever you go while you are outside. Good foragers. I was trying to keep him, hoping I can get moved to some acreage before long but he’s starting to crow, so I’ll have to get a new Spitzhauben rooster after we manage to find a property. 😞 He and his 2 Spitz girls have never left the yard. They could hop over the 3 foot fence if they wanted to but they don’t. They sit on the fence sometimes but they don’t go out.

This little angel is in the metro St Louis area BTW

My Sept 19 hatch I took these pics quickly when I removed them from incubator. They are now under my broody.

2 seramas
The one on left had some membrane stuck to its head which made it look funny. Add that it didn't know how to use legs yet so is sitting on its bottom.

3 Silkies
Color in pics didn't get it right bc of artificial lighting. One is light gray- probably a splash, one is blue, and the 3rd is black or very dark blue.

2 Showgirls (Silkies with naked necks)

Left looks like a splash mixed with buff. Right is black
