Illinois...

Here's my 2 cents:

I like doing it @ Muellers Farm. Cyndi has a lot of stuff going on and it sounds like fun! We could combine the 2 events and get more ideas for event number 3, 4, 5, .....

Doing it at Paradise Found was the first and so there was a lot of bugs to work out. The weather did not cooperate. Those who could attend had a good time but I fear I did not entertain them as well as I should. Mary of course brought a party with her, but when she left she also took most of the party. We all had fun but I feel it could have been better. I liked the raffles but some had to leave too early. I liked that there were non-chicken people there too - it added to the sharing aspect of it.

Cyndi has been hosting a bigger event for a while now, she/Mueller Farm is part of our community, and I feel we could support her and learn from her expertise. She has enough land for us to camp on. She has other events going on. She has the parking. We could have and event within an event. This would make year 3 easier for the host farm. We can learn from year 1 and year 2 and make year 3 even more informative and fun! It's already obvious we will have fun at Mueller's Farm!

I'm on board for Mueller's Farm and Cyndi's place.

If we get a consensus on Cyndi's Mueller's Farm,
then
Cyndi, How can I help? I have graphic arts capabilities, I can help with signage, organization, you name it. Just ask and I will work for us. There always has to be ONE person in charge since it's your farm it should be you. Tell me what you need and I will try very hard. Others who attended the last event were very helpful to me and I'm sure all you need to do is ask and they will pour out their helpfulness and ideas to you too.

First of all, I mispelled Cyndi's last name and I see Denise has picked up on it. It is Muller, no "e" in it.....sorry Cyndi!

Second, I know all the people farther down state would love to have something closer to them. I don't blame them.....but I haven't seen anything mentioned since the last get-together about it. If someone is willing to host something, I would be willing to go. I will be going to Cyndi's either way and would love to see as many BYCers there as possible but I would also go to another event if someone was having one.

ditto! to both !

gotta go for the nite friends.........I hope to see many more saying they will do this event.....somewhere......in the AM

According to google we are 28 miles from Shelbyville. We do have enough land for a camper. I plan on hosting close to the house, and that means it would be very close the guinea/duck/chicken coops which would be Off Limits. I'd be more than happy to go in the pen and get one of the birds to show everyone, but I don't want people going into the actual pen.

So far Chic-n-famer (Terri) has PM'ed me about location, as I told her we will have the pool set-up, (Depends on month and date) trampoline, deck, and pavillion. We have a lot of space for parking (out in the lawn.)

I'm thinking May-ish. Let me know what day/time would work for everyone that wants to come, there may not be many people, but thats OK. I will have ducklings, chicks, and guinea keets by that time, so if anyone wants any let me know and I'll put ya down on a list!

I posted a thread in the chickenstock, shows, and meet-up section about the date and info. PM me with any questions! I would post a link to the thread but I have yet to figure out how to work his new tablet. :)

I am so sad. I can not make this!!!! I have already scheduled a weekend out of town or I'd be there in a heartbeat. I live about 30-45 min east of you.

(btw - I have been following these threads, but am unable to post. The new BYC format is broken at work...I can read but can not reply

OH TBITT, what changed? I read BYC on my lunch time at work but have never logged on or posted from there. How did you post the entry above?

We'll miss you at Cyndi"s in June. One of these times you'll be able to come!
