About 1 1/2 month ago my chickens caught ILT, I am aware it is a lifetime disease and have decided to keep a closed flock. My question is my rooster is still coughing, he acts fine, nares and eyes are clear but he still honks and sometimes gasps. This only happens a few times a day usually after eating something or in the early morning. I looked down his throat and it was a good color but he had quite a bit of mucus. Is this still the ILT or could it be something else I should treat for. They were recently de-wormed with safeguard so I don't think it's a gapeworm but I'm not sure what else it could be other than the disease. Just wanted some other opinions, thanks to anyone who replies.

I want to know does ilt go by itself or do i have to treat the rooster by some vaccine or anything like that...
