I am new too, and while I do type fast- this is my first ever blog. I did not even know how to inserta smilie until last night when I registered. We will all learn together and have a lot of fun.

You will love it here. Don't worry about typing slow, it is hard to tell on forums anyway, unless you play some of the speedier games.

What I do to feel better about my typing is let my kids watch me type. They say lots of "wowwwwwwww you type fast mom!!!!!" LOL I WILL NOT type in front of my husband, however.....he really can!!!!

Good morning to all of you wonderful people! Thank you for the warm welcome messages. He's a little about me. I've raised chickens and every other kind of poultry since I was around 10 years old. I am 46 years old and currently single. I teach third grade in ST. louis Missouri but I live on the Illinois side of the river. My favorite chicken breeds are naked necks, EE's,(doesn't everyone), RIR's, polish, and anything unuaual and interesting looking. I also am a dog lover who owns a border collie. Another of my hobbies is raising cacti. I have hundreds of them. I have lived here in the st.louis area my whole life but long for a warmer climate(especially today!) my name is Todd and truly enjoy reading and looking at this web site! Thanks again to all of you friendly chicken people for the welcome. I'm going to go outside now and rake leaves in the frigid air.

Hi Todd, Welcome.

I too am fairly new here also. This is a great place to be though. There is so much information here to be gleaned.

I am also a man and sometimes feel out of place here myself because of this. You will get use to it though. You are not alone. I am sure you will be a great contribution to this forum with your many years experience.
