I'm a new momma, what do I have???

My rhode island red hen decided to be a brooder and now I have five, hopefully six little baby chicks. I'm not sure what I have. Dad is a rhode island red, possible moms, barred rock hen, black sex link, golden sex link, and rhode island red. What would the sex links produce?

O.k. I think one is from the barred rock hen and is a male black sex link.
3 of the chickes are redish so I am assuming they are from the rhode island red or the golden sex links, the fifth one is more yellow with some redish stripes down it's back. I don't know if the last egg will hatch or not. Started with 8 eggs and 2 disappeared along the brooding way.

If any of them are black they are black sex links. Roosters will have a white spot on their head, hens will be all black. RIR x RIR will obviously produce a RIR, the others will be "mutts", but should be great egg producers.

you may have something good with the rir and the br......to make a black sexlink chicken..you need a.... RIR and a Barred Rock Hen That makes a black sexlink/blackstar
