I'm a parent again! (bantam chicks and ducklings from Eagle Nest Poultry)

Thank you all for the sweet replies! :hugs

@BantyChooks .....while this may exasperate the problem, you might enjoy knowing they're snuggle bugs who enjoy crawling up sleeves. ;)

@HuffleClaw , they're doing fantastically! :love I got individual pictures yesterday, and will be posting some soon. :)

Sadly, the smallest OEGB didn't make it. :hmm Poor little thing never seemed 100%. :(

We're currently "cat sitting" my grandmother's two kitties, who aren't used to chicks, which is quite hilarious. I've caught the female several times sitting IN the brooder with the chicks/ducklings. Even my own cats don't feel inclined to get that up close and personal with young poultry. Will snap a photo next time. ;) Not my favorite thing in the world (just on the off chance someone gets suffocated), so the babies might be getting covered up temporarily.

Oh, they're sleeve crawlers? You can't possibly say that and then not share with me. :hit

Wow your grandmother’s cat is really good around the chicks.
Isn't that the truth! Surprisingly, it's more common than people realize. :) All cats who've come and gone from this property love chicks.

Ah, well, it's fun to torment. Why not rob Eagle Nest for everything they have?

Ah, yes! :) I got everything I was hoping for in this group.....a pair in the breeds bought in twos, and pullets in the singles. :wee Sadly, my beautiful little Partridge Wyandotte passed a couple months ago due to unknown causes. The BBR OEGB cockerel suffered impacted feed in his windpipe and suffocated while I was working. This turned out to be a recurring issue with these particular birds. :( His female counterpart and both my Phoenix almost died the same way.

As for the ducks (besides the Mallard drake and hen, which were sexed at hatch), two Call drakes (Bibbed/Chocolate), and two Call hens (White/Snowy). :wee

Other than that, they're absolutely precious! :love I'm so in love. Will definitely be posting pictures here in a sec. :D

Sorry for the losses and other issues. :hugs

Looking forward to pics! :pop

Sorry about the terrible pictures. I didn't take much time to snap these like I normally do. :p

My precious Lancelot.....as can be told, he's babied to death. I've always wanted a Hamburg cockerel.
