yep, i got the first one out as soon as he was almost dry, he is now starting to eat and i noticed he loves to jump in the food bowl ahahhaha, im now waiting for at least another chick to hatch so he can have some companyTapping on the food and water will encourage them to eat and drink. That's what their parents would do. Initially I scatter food everywhere because they instinctively peck at the ground and its good if they can find food easily. By about day 3-4 everyone should know where the food bowl is. Do get the babies out of the incubator pretty quickly as quail don't hatch with much reserves and they start pecking around for food pretty quickly.
Close one!good thing i put the rocks in the water bowl earlier i just found the little guy taking a bath between two rock i took him out and helped him get dry again lol
They grow/change FAST!he seems to be a smart chick he already learned where to eat and drink and he is able to stand up with no problems and he is not even a day old yet
