ok, done that. i took out one which was dead for sure, the rest has a large dip in the airsack as you'd expect from a chick close to hatching, but i can see no movement :/ are they possibly dead?

Anything is possible. I'd bet they are just resting...getting ready to hatch.
What day are you on again?

there aren't internal pips as well tho, so i am doubtful they will, but it's ok, even with this bad hatch rate, i still have beaten my old record ahahah, if no more hatch, i'll just take care of the two that did and try again in the near future with a new and better bator

I'd still just play the waiting game if I were you because of the lower temps.

yeah, i'll wait until next sunday or so, that should be long enough for them to get out, also none of them smelled, so maybe they are just late... i guess i'll just have to wait and see...

hi all, unfortunately haven't had time to take some pics yet, but i have a question in the meantime. my food bowl has a tower, so that the food falls in the dish when the chicks eat. i filled the tower up to the top, my question is, how long can i leave the food there before it goes bad?

Is it going to be somewhere where it can get wet? If not then I would guess you could leave it until they eat it all.

not at all, it's under the heat lamp, at less than 20%RH, so it should be fine , and yeah they are eating and drinking without any problems now and the bullying has stopped, they are now best friends I'll try to remember to take pics to show you tomorrow aahahhaha
