Sorry it had to be tinged with sadness on your special day. Is it possible she got into something in the garden, is the compost pile in there? My friend had a chicken die like that from something it ate... maybe a mushroom . Or some kind of insect bite. Anyway, look around for other possibilities just in case.

I know what you mean about just wanting to be home, surrounded by your animals and sleep in your own bed! Its always nice to get away but wonderful to come home! I am so glad your day was everything you dreamed. You deserve it!

) grew up on this farm when it was a commercial chicken farm. He's seen plenty of chicken heart attacks, since broilers are prone to them. He said Tinker was behaving exactly like a commercial chicken does when they have a heart attack.
