I have a wellie roo, but my wellie girls just started laying this week, so their eggs are really small right now. My BR eggs appear fertile though, so those would make black sex links. I'm waiting for my EE eggs to be fertile. I want to hatch her eggs (light green) in hopes of getting an olive egger.

I finally got some pics of my broody girls and some of the girls who have hatched out. I think I'm missing a few. Here it is. I wanted to post the turkeys and ducks that are broody but since this is a chicken thread i didnt. I have 2 turkeys and 2 ducks that are broody. It is a circus over here. I'm pulling my hair out!

Love the broody pictures, and I feel your pain.

I have 6 broodies right now: 2 BO, 2 silkie, 1 BA, and 1 Langshan. Three are clogging up my layer nests. Why couldn't these hens be in my breeding pens???

Yesterday my BO hatched out 3 call ducks for me.

She was doing well mothering them this morning, but I'll be watching carefully. Not sure when I'll remove them from her. Knowing her, she'll go back to tending another nest.

In other fowl, a BR turkey finally seems to be building a nest. My large ducks have worked together and have around 25 eggs in a bowl-shaped nest. My Embden goose is setting ? eggs (ganders won't let me investigate).

Geez, you guys are killing me! 6 broodies!

I'm now up to 29 chickens, I'd better have some broodies out of these chicks!

Thank you so much for the pictures, kuntrygirl!! I always enjoy those chicks peeping out from under their mama's wings!

Currently, I only have one broody Khaki Campbell and at least one Bourbon Red turkey who is contemplating being a broody....
