I'm getting the itch. Anyone want to hatch some eggs?

We just went into lockdown. 7 of my original 24 (shipped eggs) look good to hatch. Fingers crossed!!

Exciting!!!!! Won't be long now...good luck and keep us updated!!!

I plugged in the auto turner and darn if its acting up... Not really wanting the hassle of hand turning... I had someone buy hatching eggs from me today and may be interested in some chicks if the itch hits me hard enough...lol... Why oh why do I do this to myself!! ")

So...did the fertile egg fairy come by and give your broodies and bator some eggs???

I kicked the broody out of what she considered a good nesting spot, I did not think it was so wonderful, no protection for her.. Destroyed her place and will wait and see if she moves onto the coop...so no eggs for mrs. not so broody anymore...

The bator on the other hand was rewarded with 20 eggs for being so good and holding such a good temperature

I have 4 babies out today yay! 6 more eggs in there I can't see very well. I am dying to know if there are any more pips but I can't tell. Tomorrow is day 21 so these guys are a little early but they look good so far.

There's dried manure on the broody's eggs. Will that, or has that, contaminated them via the egg's porous surface?
