So...awhile back i posted a question asking if anyone had any photos of white legbar crosses. I didnt get any pictures, but i did get a few interests in what they might turn out if i ever hatched any. Heres an update on hatching some eggs from my frost white legbars & my white silkie rooster.( Well, im pretty sure hes the dad to all the eggs.) There was only one other rooster as a possible for some. Itll be a surprise if any are his. A lavender orpington rooster,.. but i never see him mount any of my frost legbar hens. They seem to be the silkie's ladies. I decided to hatch 6 eggs! Im so excited.. and at this point they should hatch by saturday or sunday! Yay! Ill be sure to post pictures for whoever is interested as they grow. Maybe you guys can tell me if you think they are hens or roos once they are old enough.

I'll be following!!!:pop:celebrate

And heres the momas. Priscilla, Dorothy, & Gretchen. They are all Frost white Legbar hens. Gretchen has a very tiny crest. The huge lavender orpington rooster in the back is a possible dad, his name is Big Boy., but i dont think so. Ive never seen him mate with the frostys.

If the lavender Orp fathered any they should hatch black or mostly black.
If the silkie fathered any they should hatch yellow.
That'll make it easy to know the father's. If the silkie is the father they should also hatch as sex links. The females will have dark skin more like the silkies and the males will have light skin.
