I just want to point out that fibromyalgia is often a diagnosis when the real culprit is hypothryroidism. As a matter of fact, fibromyalgia is a symptom of hypothyroidism. (I can't speak for hypOthyroidism or Graves) Just be aware that I was treated for fibromyalgia for a few years despite getting worse. I wonder how many people have a low level of hypothyroidism but have been told they have fribromyalgia. I went to more doctors than I can remember before being diagnosed correctly.
If we're talking about brain fog, please consider hypothyroidism.
DrLowe.com is a boon to thyroid patients. He honestly cares.
I wish you much luck in getting better!
Assuming you find out you're hypothyroid:
I, too, take Armour Thyroid, and the VERY EVENING I took my first dose, the muscle tension in my legs ebbed away, and the brain fog eased a lot. When I finally got to the right dosage, I can keep the pain and fog and all of the other garbage away if I stay on a decent diet.
If you have autoimmune disorders (asthma, allergies, to name a few) then the standard thyroid tests won't work for you. You need to find a doctor who treats you based on how you feel.
