Hi - Considering quail. Just a handfull to add something different to the egg basket. Which breeds lay the speckled eggs?

The Jap's are great birds and yes they have the spotted eggs. I've got a few with my chickens and I love'm.

Great. Thanks. I'm a chicken person and have read everything available about ducks and geese. Rounding things out with some Japanese Quail seems like fun!

My sister, brother in law and niece and nephew are here for a week. I hardboiled 20 of the quail eggs I had, and the kids ate them like M&Ms.
apparently, I am in it for the eggs too!
