Ideal even goes so far as to give some BS statement about the different breeds vs EEs.

Thanks for all your help everyone! I managed to find what I think is a true breeder pretty close to me. Sold by color, explicitly says NOT EE's and the photos look close to breed standards on the Ameraucana site
I've seen that too. The difference between EEs and Ameraucana that Cackle sells is $2.65 each for 15+ straight run chicks and between $7.09 and $14.00 (depending on color) for 15+ straight run chicks.I think MY Pet Chicken also sells Blue Ameraucana... and the difference is approximately $18 instead of $4.
I have seen a LOT of feed stores/hatchery that in fact spell it correctly even though they are selling Easter Eggers.
I can't remember which hatchery it is, but they sell Ameraucana and say they are "Pure Ameraucana heritage" but they don't breed according to color variety. I would believe that if their birds all laid BLUE eggs, but they are said to lay ANYTHING from white, brown, olive, green, blue, pink, etc. If you start with the pure breed in different colors, they ALL should have only blue egg genes, not brown/white/etc. It's all a load of bull crap.Ideal even goes so far as to give some BS statement about the different breeds vs EEs.

What? Did you mean another variety of Ameraucana? Silvers look nothing like Brown Leghorns. And Ameraucana Silver is the same as Partridge in Wellsummer aka Brown in Leghorn.
x2Good thing you knew the difference and thought to ask so that you were not disappointed. It would definitely suck to buy one thinking that you were getting a purebred Ameraucana and you actually got an Easter Egger.
The roosters don't but the females do... (to me)What? Did you mean another variety of Ameraucana? Silvers look nothing like Brown Leghorns.
The females have salmon breast colouring but that's about as far as the similarity in colour goes. The rest of the bird should only be grey, white, or black. I do agree that they would look similar if both images were in black and white. Perhaps they share genes for pattern but not colour? The roosters don't but the females do... (to me)

I guess the neck color is more silver than gold or blonde looking on the Am than the LH.
