I'm just curious. What do you do with the bodies?

I live in a small neighborhood on a corer lot with a small backyard. I just had to bury one of my hens for the first time and possibly will have to bury another as I think it has internal laying. What do you all do with your dead hens? I have always buried any of my animals that have died as find it extremely hard to just toss them in the trash like they were trash. Problem is finding the room to bury them and not wanting to accidentaly dig them up again. Anyone else have this problem?

If you have plants or an area where you are going to plant a tree, bush, roses - that is where I usually bury deep.


When I lost my beloved Puff of Luv, I burried her in the apple yard.


You can also get a large stone to lay over the special place, to mark it.

I worry about my dog digging them up, so we put them in a garbage bag and dispose of them in the trash.
