I'm just going to give up x.x

I'm going to jump in here as I am the "crazy" expectant mother, and the one who is head over heels for this egg-eating "vicious, crazy, out of control PIT BULL".

Firstly, I am only 8 weeks pregnant. I am not due until september . Meaning, we have AMPLE time to get the situation under control. Second, just because he's an APBT Mix does not make him any worse than if he were a Labrador mix, or a Golden Retriever [my Grandma's Golden is AWFUL. Worse than my Squidly].

So, as to your question of if we're "FREAKING crazy??" .. I probably am.. But, who isn't a little?

I have spoiled him, he and my Pom have been my babies up until now. If I had an inkling that I would be having kids any time soon he would of never been allowed to get away with so much. I have my reasons for why I baby him so much, but I'm not going there.

YES, I understand why my SO [ducklove] is upset about the eggs. He's put a lot of time into them and I understand that it's a hobby of his. I also know his concerns for when the babies born as well as we need to start remodeling the bedroom and such to get things ready..

I am getting a kennel put up, so that he'll go outside for the main part of the day and come inside with me at night. I refuse to "banish" him to the outside. I hate having 2 of our family dogs outside [by family, I mean, my mom, sister, step-father, me] but that was never my decision. I think a dog is part of the family and you don't just shun it because it doesn't automatically listen or know. No, I wont get rid of him. He's my responsibility. Yes, this will be taken care of. No, he wont be allowed with the baby - but none of our dogs will be until the baby is old enough to be a "leader" of the pack.

Oh, and FYI, he's never bitten! He's not a mean dog. He's simply a 7 month old APBT Hound Mix who likes to work his jaws like all APBTs and sniff out all the wonderful things that he can like a Hound loves to do!

Hahaha!

You know what this reminds me of? that show called "Me or the dog". You
should get that lady to your house to train that dog.

All's I can say is yelling doesnt help. It just stresses you out and gets the dog more hyped up. Use a stern rough voice, not screaming.

You don't WAIT to start training a dog, no matter what breed !
When you bring him into your personal space, the training starts at that second ! And it continues every breathing waking minute of the day until he learns to behave himself. Age of the dog is no excuse.

And no one in the house wants to take this dog outside to exercise him because of the weather ? ? ? ?

Just why do you keep an uncontrollable dog in the house ??? Because he is your fiance's ???? Then why doesn't HE do something with the poor dog ????

I am having horrible visions of the baby being rolled all over the floor while the dog is "playing" with it's new toy.

And before anyone thinks I am trying to start something horrible here.....HONESTLY I AM NOT !
