ray's two cents :
For some reason, some days I just don't get hungry.
Sometimes I lose track of time, and no stomach rumbles to remind me that it's time I go out for some lunch.
I've always been underweight, that got anything to do with it?
Normally I would tell an adult that what they eat and when they eat is their decision.
Wish I had your problem. I do have friends and relatives that forget to eat. According to my BFF, it is called 'eating to live' verses 'living to eat'. I also have a DH who loves snacks, can eat anything, and is still at his high school weight (army weight, marriage weight) at 74 years old. (Disgusting, don't 'cha think?)
No, not eating regularly won't ruin you stomach, but it is still better for your overall health to plan to eat something on a regular basis -- once a day or twice a day at a relatively consistent time. It doesn't have to be a full meal. The planning is to insure when you do eat, it is healthy food.
That is normally. On the other hand. . . anorexics don't feel hunger rumbles either. Now, none of my skinny. . er. . thin . . um. . svelt relatives or friends who "forget to eat" are anorexic. You, I don't know. If your parents are concerned about your health for THIS reason, listen to them or get a medical opinion. This is a deadly disease that contradicts all concepts of 'normally'.
I would hate to have someone with this health risk use a social forum such as this to justify their behavior. ("Hey, my mirror says I'm fat. Mom says I'm skinny. My BYC friends say eat when I want. Everything is cool.") Now, I'm not saying that is you. Your comment on "a little breakfast" is a clue it's not your problem. I am a teacher and educating always sticks it's nose into what I do.
We are friends here - and personally, I look forward to your posts, Love ya, girl, unconditionally just as you are.
