I'm just not hungry...

Now sleep is one of the things I couldn't do without. Seven hours plus or you can count on some ear bashing the next day.

And I'm in shape!

round is a shape.. right?

Yup round is a shape and so is "bulgy". And I'm bulgy with love handles and all.

But in the last 3 years I've managed to lose 93 lbs. 30 lbs more and I'll be at marriage weight after 25 years, but back then DW thought I needed to lose 15 lbs, so I've got 45 to loose. It will probably take me another 3 years to do that because that last lard is HARD to remove.

Got knee surgery yesterday and can't eat. If I do, I blow violent chunks. I haven't slept more than 10 minutes since coming out of recovery.

This is one of the main things I get griped at about. Eating.

Try growing up in the South and not being a big eater...

I *try* to eat once a day nowadays...but generally until someone reminds me I don't. I cook for my daughter, but I only eat certain things myself.

Eventually she's going to have a problem with that...(Mom why don't YOU eat some peas?)

ray's two cents :

For some reason, some days I just don't get hungry.

Sometimes I lose track of time, and no stomach rumbles to remind me that it's time I go out for some lunch.

I've always been underweight, that got anything to do with it?

Normally I would tell an adult that what they eat and when they eat is their decision.

Wish I had your problem. I do have friends and relatives that forget to eat. According to my BFF, it is called 'eating to live' verses 'living to eat'. I also have a DH who loves snacks, can eat anything, and is still at his high school weight (army weight, marriage weight) at 74 years old. (Disgusting, don't 'cha think?)

No, not eating regularly won't ruin you stomach, but it is still better for your overall health to plan to eat something on a regular basis -- once a day or twice a day at a relatively consistent time. It doesn't have to be a full meal. The planning is to insure when you do eat, it is healthy food.

That is normally. On the other hand. . . anorexics don't feel hunger rumbles either. Now, none of my skinny. . er. . thin . . um. . svelt relatives or friends who "forget to eat" are anorexic. You, I don't know. If your parents are concerned about your health for THIS reason, listen to them or get a medical opinion. This is a deadly disease that contradicts all concepts of 'normally'.

I would hate to have someone with this health risk use a social forum such as this to justify their behavior. ("Hey, my mirror says I'm fat. Mom says I'm skinny. My BYC friends say eat when I want. Everything is cool.") Now, I'm not saying that is you. Your comment on "a little breakfast" is a clue it's not your problem. I am a teacher and educating always sticks it's nose into what I do.

We are friends here - and personally, I look forward to your posts, Love ya, girl, unconditionally just as you are.

Thanks Linn.

I appreciate your concern, and it has crossed my mind before when thinking about my weight, but I'm actually more worried about that I might not be putting enough on. I'm always in the slightly underweight section on those height-weight charts. I am however somewhat relieved about that because it means I don't have to watch my weight as carefully as some of my rounder friends!

I've never been one of those girls obsessing over outward appearances, I guess that's why people at school think I'm some kind of loser, because I don't wear make up or designer clothes. I don't really care, my real friends are people who I can have a blast with unbrushed hair. So thanks.

I think my dad's real concern is that I'll ruin my stomach.

I've done some research, I try to tell him it's all fine and dandy, but he's stubborn and thinks he's a genius medic, even though he actually teaches mining engineering. He's always been like that about my health.
