I'm leaving BYC forever...

Aww, I couldn’t bear getting rid of my babies 😭💙🥺
I’m so sorry
Also It's not that bad cuz my dad wants to give them to my grandma who we don't visit often but they are only 2 hours away. They have 50 acres but my issue is that it is not fenced so there may be preds. Also I have put in SO much research into them but they are HARDCORE NOOBS for that kind of things. But a great thing is that they won't eat them cuz' they are vegan

Aww I know, we had to get rid of five roosters and at least I know they went to a good home. That happened so often when people ask me why I’m so obsessed with chickens! 😂 At least you can have a chance to visit them. How much did you have?

My parents wanted me to help pay for some of the feed/equipment/coop for my hens so I started helping people out with like cleaning houses and babysitting. I've made a lot of money pretty quick. Soon I'll be able to pay for everything fully. Like others have said, there are things you can do to make a little extra money, and sometimes it's barely even work. for example, i babysit these super sweet kids a lot who just like to watch tv for a while, play chess with me, and then head to sleep. plus sometimes i get dinner out of it too. so maybe try something like that??

To be honest my mom does not trust me much

Kinda everything... Let's just say I like(ed) to steal food (candy ect.) I barely do it now but my sibs know that I used to and use me to steal food without getting in trouble.
well...... i don't know your mom of course, so maybe i'm wrong.... but she might surprise you. a lot of parents recognize that getting a job is a great way to learn responsibility and good work ethic, stuff like that. if you explained why you want to work, your parents might even not only allow it, but encourage you. i'm also not sure how old you are but if you're not old enough to do babysitting or get a "real" job you could always make some money by mowing lawns, raking leaves, landscaping (like maintaining gardens), etc. if you really want to keep your birds maybe give that some thought
