This is the first time I've been able to really sit down and work on Flock Manager in a while. We're getting goats! Been so busy with researching and building a pen...

Starting work on Flock Manager again, after almost two weeks of not getting anything done. Nearing my goals for alpha two, so there should be a release soon. I still need ideas for what should be shown on each tab. I've about decided on what will be on the egg tab. This is what I have so far:

x eggs in inventory
x eggs laid today (x% productivity)
x eggs laid this week (x% productivity)
Average cost per egg: $x.xx
---------------------------------------------

{Record sale of eggs}
{View detailed egg history}

Any suggestions?

Ok everyone, Alpha 2 is ready as soon as I get enough suggestions as to what to put on the tabs. The tabs are, in order:
Start | Your Flock | Chicks | Incubation | Egg Production | Income | Expenses | Tools
We'll go though them one by one. First up? The Start tab! It is the tab open when the program first starts. On it I want to have a summery of essential information. So the question is, what info do you want to see at a glance when you first open the program?

How about the number of birds of each breed and their ages. I'm forever looking up this info! Is that the type of thing you had in mind? I suppose that would go under the 'your flock' tab. Could you be more specific as to the type of info you're looking for for the start tab? Maybe an example? Thanks

These are some possibilities I thought of for the start tab.
You currently have x chickens in x coops (or breeding pens)
You currently have x eggs in x incubators (or broody hens)
Your hens are laying at XX% production
This month you have made (or lost) $xx.xx

On special days:
x eggs due to hatch today in incubator 3!
The temperature in brooder 2 should be turned down to 80 degrees today
etc.
Of course most of these items will also be under their tabs. The start tab is sort of a summery. Do you get the idea? I'm not that good with words.

One thing I'm thinking about is the ability for the user to customize what shows on the start tab.

I get it! Yea then a summary of the number of birds of each breed and their ages. The ability to customize it would be great for when you're doing a hatch. A countdown of days to lockdown and hatch.
