I'm nervous

Hi just bought our chicks yesterday. Kids are really excited and so am I. My question is how often should I change the wood chips for the chicks? I have already done it twice and I wasn't sure if I was being crazy.

Welcome to BYC. My rule of thumb is : clean frequently enough to keep the chicks clean and dry and the odor non existant. Click on the 'Learning Center' located at the top of the page, and good luck with your chicks. Too frequent changing is better than too infrequent.

Hi! I'm new too!! And I am the same way my 1wk 2 day old chicks may or may not have had daily shaving changes
