I was too stunned to smack or cuss or leave!

I haven't seen her or spoken to her since, and the only thing I ask about her is, "Has your bleepity bleep bleep mother apologized or died yet? Then I don't really care.... How's your dad doing?"

Blackberry glazed quail sounds delicious. I think Thanksgiving pics and posts sound good too.

While I do like some traditions and meals, it just seemed to get lost in the event and squabbling, and BS like my MIL pulled. She wouldn't *allow* me to step foot in her kitchen to help with anything, or to bring any food -- it was really weird. She claimed I was a guest, and shouldn't help, but she let the other daughter-in-law help. I'm a really good cook, and have taught food/nutrition classes! WTF??? I said fine, and would drink beer and watch football with the men! I know more about sports than my Sweetie does, and love football, let the kiss up girls hang in the kitchen!

Apparently I missed this. Holy wow, I don't even see how it's possible.

I think your MIL is my xFIL. What is wrong w/ these people? On my wedding day he jokingly acted like he was going to push me down the steps at the church.. the catholic church. SMH I didn't realized it, I was watching the photographer, but people told me about it later. He was horrible and knowing that my husband was having an affair with anyone willing said I should abort my youngest daughter. I don't miss having to deal with them and pretend they aren't there when they come to my kids events. I keep waiting for them to retire and move south like they kept saying they would. Then hope that my ex follows them & my kids and I can have a normal happy life w/o their interference.

OMG!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!!!!!

LOL Good for you! Don't let her ruin your time or your marriage. She can be a miserable shrew all on her own.

I'm not sure, but I'm sure it's hard to pronounce & can be cured w/ a lobotomy and electroshock therapy.. or maybe not, but it's worth a try.

They'll pluck her nearly bald! Ugh, i picked the squirrel up by what was left of his tail so i could chuck him in the woods and Lulu was trying to jump and bite the dangling squirrel....little monster hen. :)
My MIL may need to spend the night locked in your coop...... your girls could teach her some manners!

My sister is having Thanksgiving this year, Lord help us all! This is her invite!

Are you adventurous? Do you like to take risks? Thrill seeker maybe?
If you answered yes to at least one of the questions, then I gladly extend my invitation to you,to be present at my residence ( where I live this year ) this Thanksgiving 2017.
Do you eat out of reused butter containers? Chinese take out containers? Or, how 'bout those KFC little dish with red top? (Great for condiments by the way )
If so, then you will feel right at home.
Bring the chitlins' ( children ‍‍‍). I have a big area for smokers, it's called the outside.
Menu is simple. Basic staples that the indians & pilgrims had. Why? Cuz I'm just as broke as they were.
Now, for those who might not already know..... It's been rumored I'm not a great cook. If this worries you, pack a a lunch for back up.
Please bring drinks for yourselves and your rug rats. I also advise you to bring something your kids can play with ( and I don't mean crayons or markers )
So stop in. We'll laugh, we'll cry, we'll talk about each other behind our backs.
Hope you stop by and remember ........
Gifts for the hostess is always accepted
( cash is good )
Signed,
Tina C

Um... my mother's name is Tina C!
And this sounds likes something she'd write!
What's this Tina C's middle name?

I worried about my first chickens laying too. I think most people do. One thing is you read all this literature online about chickens laying in three months. My breeds are egg layers and they took 4 months and still had a few take longer. Funny thing for me was once I posted the say worries you have and next day I had my first egg. Just be patient and it will come. Keep you chickens clean, watered, feed and healthy and it will happen..

Aww, you're sweet. :)
